Mr. and Mrs. Hernand started this business in 1998. Located in Camden City, they provide cleaning and janitorial service to commercial customers through out the Delaware Valley. The business recently lost a large account and suffered a downturn. They were in need of stabilization and JOLI was able to participate in the financing of working capital. The business, currently with two (2) fulltime employees, has identified and has preliminary approval on several new large contacts that will require the addition of two (2) to four (4) new fulltime employees. Mr. and Mrs. Hernand have committed to hire employees that fit the JOLI program requirements. |

Already a thriving business in the City of Camden, F&R has plans to expand its operations. Currently supplying approximately 15,000 pallets per month to local businesses, Mr. Abate, the business has an opportunity to expand this to over 20,000 per month. In order to accomplish this, the business will need to add two (2) new trucking docks and reorganize the containment area. In addition, Mr. Abate expects that this expansion will require the addition of between three (3) and eight (8) fulltime employees. Mr. Abate has committed to hire employees that fit the JOLI program requirements. |

Mr. and Mrs. Holshue have owned this business for several years, although the company has been in business for close to 30 years. Currently, the company is expanding its operations and requires financing for new equipment and working capital. This expansion will lead to the addition of at least two (2) new fulltime employees. The Catholic Charities JOLI program was able to participate in the expansion loan and expects to provide technical assistance as the expansion occurs. Mr. and Mrs. Holshue have committed to hire employees that fit the JOLI program requirements. |

Ms. Richards and her husband are the owners of this existing daycare center. Unfortunately, Mr. and Mrs. Richards are in the process of a divorce. Because of the nature of the ownership and previous financing, the business was in serious jeopardy of closing if new financing was not obtained. Ms. Richards is the ongoing owner of the business and has been the operational force behind the business since its inception.
The JOLI program was able to participate in the new financing package to stabilize the business as ell as provide working capital for a much needed expansion of services and staff. Currently, the business employs eight (8) fulltime staff. The expansion plans include opening a late-afternoon and evening program which will require the addition of seven (7) new fulltime staff members. The business has the licenses for this expansion and is anticipated to occur in 30 to 60 days. Mrs. Richards has committed to hire employees that fit the JOLI program requirements. |

Mr. Smith has owned and operated Fleet Construction since 1998 and is based in Camden City. Well-know and highly regarded in the local community, Mr. Smith has participated in the JOLI program for business strengthening, expansion, and job creation. He has identified several larger projects that he would like to accomplish but struggles with steady and adequate cash flow.
The JOLI program was able to assist Mr. Smith in acquiring $10,000 working capital ($5000 from JOLI) which will allow him to continue operations and pursue new, larger projects. Mr. Smith reports that this loan has allowed him to keep himself and four (4) fulltime employees employed and he expects to hire between two (2) and four (4) additional employees as the next project starts in a month or two. Mr. Smith has committed to hire employees that fit the JOLI program requirements. |
