The Refugee and Immigration Services Department at Catholic Charities includes the Refugee Resettlement program (Reception and Placement, Match Grant, Supplemental Employment Services, English as a Second Language Training (ESL) and Supplemental Social Support Services); Refugee Individual Development Account program (IDA) and Immigration Services program. We work with Refugees, Asylees and other immigrants in the six southern counties of New Jersey to begin their lives in the United States. The programs are funded by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Office of Migration and Refugee Services, the Federal Department of State, the Federal Office of Refugee Resettlement, the State of New Jersey's Division of Family Development, the State of New Jersey Office of Faith-Based Initiatives and Diocesan and private support. Our program staff and case managers work in coordination with local social service and healthcare providers and volunteers to provide services to our clients and assist them in becoming self sufficient.
