Basic Needs

About Us

The right of access to basic human needs – nutritious food, clothing, and  shelter – has been a foundational element of our mission from our founding in 1936 through to today. We believe that by providing for these needs we preserve each individual’s God-given human dignity. Please see our list of county locations to see what services are available in each county.

Our current basic needs services include:

Food & SNAP Assistance

At our food pantries, we attempt to provide a balanced selection of food options to meet a short term need. Families may get recipes to create healthy meals on a budget, and our case managers will assist individuals in determining their eligibility for SNAP (The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program).
